ASEAN Sport Ministers in Yogyakarta on Wednesday agreed to establish a single coordinating board, Indonesian Sports Minister Andi Mallaranggeng said.
On the ASEAN Sports Ministerial Meeting (ASMM) in Yogyakarta the goal of ASEAN countries to form a single community by 2015 and boost the archievements in sports especially on global events. That is why the single communicating board born and establish by the ASEAN Sports Ministers.
Andi added the forum also agreed to appoint him as chairman of the newly established board with Lao’s Sports Minister Phankam Viphavanh as vice chairman. On the meeting the minister also said to set up a working plan by an Expert Group Meeting (EMG) for the new board.
